Complimentary Consultation

If this is your first time here, this is where you book a 10-15 minute Complimentary Consultation with one of our therapists. We encourage you to read their profiles and pick the person you feel most drawn to working with. Don't worry about getting this 100% right. We'll also be asking questions to make sure that we match you with the therapist that is the best fit for you.

EMDR

We offer supplementary EMDR and EMDR Intensives. The supplementary EMDR can be booked if you already have a primary therapist and just want to do some focused work. The intensives are longer sessions of EMDR that can be two to four hours. Intensives can be really helpful for working through more pervasive struggles such as: chronic anxiety or depression, family stuff, trauma, or PTSD.

While talking about your problems can feel overwhelming, having a steadfast and friendly guide can help you feel comfortable and at ease with this process. Together, we make a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental environment where you can feel free to be yourself and begin healing.

Working together, we create a holistic approach (drawing on approaches such as DBT, CBT, EMDR, ACT, SFBT, self-compassion, and attachment theory) that is custom fit for you, building on your strengths and addressing your needs. Regardless of whether you need help healing trauma, stress, anxiety, or depression; managing OCD; grieving loss; dealing with divorce; increasing personal well-being; navigating life transitions; addressing relationship issues; or gaining deeper personal insight, I will be with you every step of the journey. Along the way, we’ll discover laughter, resilience, and evidence-based tools that can help you face life with a new sense of optimism. Hopefully as we work together you’re able to see the world a little more clearly, find meaning in the wake of confusion, and learn to take back control of your life.

I graduated from Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO# 11838) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA# 10004795). I am also a trained EMDR Therapist. When not in the therapy chair, I find fresh energy exploring nature, feasting with family and friends, and working with my hands. I also enjoy reading good books, deep discussions, and learning new skills.

I provide virtual and in-person counselling services to individuals 16 years and older.

I embody a relational approach to therapy with an emphasis on caring over curing.

I offer individual and couples therapy, frequently addressing abuse, trauma, attachment issues, codependency, boundary setting, relationship issues, life transitions, divorce care, emotional regulation difficulties, grief & loss, spiritual abuse, and anxiety. In addition to Self-Psychology and Relational Therapy, I also draw on therapies including Somatic, Narrative, Solution Focussed, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and others. My relational approach to therapy is rooted in compassion and empathetic curiosity. I long to create a space where my clients sense they have an authentic, non judgemental friend joining them on their journey.

I believe that you are the expert on your life and that as we listen to your story together a relationship will grow where healing, growth and understanding can take place. I am convinced that each client has strengths, skills and resources and that as we ask the right questions we may gain new perspectives or uncover solutions you hadn’t noticed before.

From a client-centered holistic perspective I invite clients to explore their faith and spirituality and its impact upon their life, if they chose to do so.

As a young mother myself, I am also familiar with both the joys and challenges of becoming a parent. Each woman’s journey through pregnancy, post partum and beyond is complex and unique and can present unexpected stresses that can lead to anxiety, depression, poor health, relationship strain, or feeling generally overwhelmed. Sometimes in the journey towards growing a family you may have experienced profound loss and grief through infertility, miscarriage or stillbirth. In our therapeutic relationship I invite you to enter into these spaces with me as a gentle friend. Together we can honour and hold space for your story and slowly look towards healing, hope, and resilience.

I provide therapy to individuals 16 years old and older.
